Assistant Director, Brighton & Hove City Council
Donna Chisholm is Assistant Director for Culture, Tourism and Sport at Brighton and Hove City Council.
A lifelong advocate of creativity, entrepreneurship and business, before joining the Council Donna was regional head of key industry sectors and innovation for Highlands and Islands Enterprise in Scotland.
Donna was capital project director for Eden Court, the largest arts centre in Scotland, leading it’s complete redevelopment for five years to 2007, creating two large theatres, cinemas, visual arts spaces and outstanding dance studios as a jewel in the crown for the North of the country.
Before that she led museums and cultural services for East Ayrshire Council, a job which came with a major collection of work by Robert Burns, so trivia relating to Scotland’s national poet is one of her specialist subjects. Donna has a masters degree in arts policy from City University, London and a post-graduate cert in management, technology and innovation from MIT, Boston.
