Freelance Project Manager
Part time, freelance position, 12-month contract working to various
dates between August 2022 & August 2023, £6,000 (approximately 24
event dates & 16 project management days @ £150/day) plus travel.

KP Projects CIC is a not for profit, community arts organisation,
creating outdoor arts performances, installations & community
engagement projects to inspire, challenge & transform.  Our work
focuses around the environment, sustainability & healthy living.
The Living Coast Undersea Experience (TLCUE) is an interactive,
virtual reality & 360 experience, enabling users to explore the
underwater environment of the Beachy Head West, Marine Conservation Zone

Our project will develop a new touring network for digital arts &
an educational programme for VR & 360 film, with 3 elements:
training & work experience programme in Newhaven to build the team
for touring; an educational development programme with schools & a
tour of community venues across the region – community centres, arts
venues, visitor centres etc.
Job Description
KP Projects CIC is looking for a versatile, highly motivated &
reliable Project Manager to work with the Creative Director & TLCUE
Team, to deliver & manage the tour – an initial 14 dates are
pencilled with an additional 10 in development, from August 2022 to
August 2023.
Training with equipment will be given.
The Project Manager will work with the team to:
1.  Liaise with venues regarding installation logistics, technical requirements, securing volunteers & engaging audiences
2.  Run the installation at venues, including set up & get out of
equipment, training & managing personnel, volunteers, ensuring
security of equipment at all times, set up & management of
interpretation materials
3.  Work with all ages to enthuse users, trainees, volunteers, venues
etc about The Living Coast Undersea Experience & the Beachy Head
West, Marine Conservation Zone; & to help create an enjoyable, fun
atmosphere to assist with learning, education & information around
the Experience
4.  Assist with the development of an evaluation plan, & to
manage the collection & collate statistics & feedback from users
5.  Assist with delivering the Communications Plan
The Project Manager will have the following skills:
  • At least three years’ experience & knowledge of developing
    & delivering arts projects, including events management &
    touring
  • Detailed knowledge & understanding of community engagement
  • Experience of managing funded projects
  • Excellent project management skills
  • Knowledge & experience of volunteer recruitment
  • Excellent interpersonal skills & the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred:
  • DBS check
  • Clean driving license
  • Knowledge of the marine environment & conservation issues
  • Brighton or East Sussex based
