Mike Roe – CEO, Brighton Youth Centre. From Strategic planning to Counselling to Stand-up Comedy Mike has over 30 years’ experience of Youth Work Delivery with a focus on informal education, participation and social justice.
Adam Joolia – CEO, AudioActive. AudioActive is a ground-breaking youth music organisation specialising in technology and contemporary urban culture. Adam cut his teeth in Nottingham working in alternative education and youth music projects during the height of a very difficult period for the city’s communities. To engage meaningfully with young people in this extremely challenging context required creative, often unconventional approaches. This ethos of innovation has stayed with Adam throughout his Producing work at AudioActive where its influence can be felt today through many pioneering projects such as AudioActive’s nationally significant Electric Youth Ensemble & internationally replicated Child-to-Parent Violence intervention, Break4Change, which Adam co designed in 2009 in partnership with RISE & Brighton & Hove City Council. Adam is also a founding Director of Platform B Radio and currently Co-Chair of Trustees at Brighton Youth Centre.
