ABCD for Cultural Recovery in Brighton & Hove: Working Groups and Chairs recruitment [paid]
Deadline: Wednesday 10 March at 9am
Initial fee for freelancers/sole traders: £450 (for the equivalent of 1.5 days work in March)
Members of the founding team will be available to ask questions about the Working Groups process at the What Next meeting on 4th March at 10am. Email Louise Blackwell on louise@louiseb.co.uk for more details.
Following a period of consultation with creative workers in the City, the time for action and implementation is now. The Working Groups will develop specific targets for recovery, guided by the ABCD Cultural Recovery Plan and deliver against those targets.
There will be at least five Working Groups comprising 6 – 8 people per group including a Chair. Each Working Group Chair will also hold a position on the Governing Body and will drive the activity of the Working Groups. The right people for the roles will have lived experience of different artform practices and creative industry business structures including but not limited to: commercial, subsidised, not-for-profit, freelance and sole traders, Arts Council England National Portfolio Organisations and other organisations and individuals who work in the creative industries in Brighton & Hove.
The first three working groups and Chairs being recruited are: ‘Enliven Brighton’, ‘The Engine Room’ and ‘Creative Communities’. Applications are invited from those who can offer their time and expertise as part of their current employed role and creative workers who are freelancers and/or sole traders whose time will be paid for. It is anticipated the Working Groups will meet at least once a month initially and twice in March 2021 to kickstart the activity.
