The role has responsibility for:

  • Stage managing and calling 3 performances
  • Overseeing the technical delivery of the sharings, including leading on the delivery of technical elements
  • Liaising with the technical team at ACCA and the creative teams for both shows
  • Scheduling and managing tech days
  • Mentoring and managing a student/BPT member as Assistant Stage Manager
  • Liaising with other BPT members involved on a voluntary basis who are helping to source costumes and props for both shows

 

We are looking for someone confident to take the lead on supporting both works as our Company Stage Manager. Ideally, the person will have experience working within a co-created process. The person will have excellent interpersonal skills and will treat both professional and non-professional artists within each company with equal respect.

 

Availability

You must be available for the following dates and times:

The Songbird Café

  • Attend either the morning (10-1) or afternoon (2-5) R&D session at ACCA on Sunday 24 April to meet the creative team and BPT members and watch the R&D process to gain an understanding of the ambition of the show
  • Attend a rehearsal for The Songbird Café with the company on a Monday evening in May of your choice between 2-9pm to gain an understanding of the material being shared on 11 June
  • Attend a meeting with the ACCA tech team, Songbird Producer and Directors at ACCA to discuss technical requirements time and date by mutual agreement
  • Liaise with the Songbird Producer and other BPT staff and members as needed
  • Schedule and manage the tech run on the morning of 11 June
  • Schedule and call the show on the afternoon of 11 June

Born and Bread

  • Attend one rehearsal on a Tuesday evening in late June/early July between 6-pm to gain an understanding of the show and meet BPT members
  • Attend a meeting with ACCA tech team and BPT creative team at ACCA – time and date by mutual agreement
  • Liaise with Born and Bread Directors, creative team and BPT members to ensure all technical requirements are in place
  • Schedule and manage the tech days on Saturday 16 July
  • Schedule and manage dress rehearsal on Sunday 17 July
  • Stage manage and call the shows on evenings of Monday 18 and Tuesday 19 July

 

Fee: £1700
