Join Bela & team on Tuesday mornings at the Brighthelm, to try violin, viola, and cello in a safe, inclusive, and friendly environment – no experience is necessary, and it feels great to play together.
 
We’re offering a range of fun and inspiring monthly / fortnightly sessions for all abilities:
  • Beginners’ Sessions (including learning to read music)
  • Improvising Using Stringed Instruments (listening and playing by ear –
    no music reading)
  • Strings Unbarred (playing beyond reading music – for people who have
    played before)
  • Silver Strings – our later-starter community string band, now in its 11th
    year!
Many sessions are free / low-cost, thanks to funding from BHCC & The Paley Trust.
 
We can provide instruments for the sessions at no cost.
 
All sessions are 9:30-11:30am on Tuesdays at Brighthelm; new programme starts 5th September.
