Creative Stories & New Website

'Creative Stories' is a series of short films that aim to highlight the rich cultural ecology that makes up the city. These Creative Stories will highlight the diversity of culture and creative businesses in Brighton and the exciting offer that exists here, celebrating the vibrancy, creative entrepreneurship and cultural business that is the beating heart of the city.

A multitude of voices through the ABCD Plan for Cultural Recovery were echoed in wanting to generate exchange and connection online, to spot opportunities, share resources and pool skills development in the most challenging of times. This month sees a major refresh to the Culture In Our City website and a series of short films that aim to shine a light on the creative sector.

With the Culture In Our City website getting a shiny reboot, we send the warmest encouragement to us all to pin it to our dashboards, flag it with friends and colleagues, and help grow the platform as a Greater Brighton hub for connecting, for professional development and for skills support.

This site reboot exists to support local cultural and creative workers as a go-to platform for arts and creative industries exchange. Learn and connect through tools, training, creative networks, funding, and opportunities and use it to share projects, collaborations, and call-outs. This is a chance to continue to grow the cultural ecosystem that is so special to Greater Brighton. The site will be regularly updated and whether you’re starting out, adapting, and growing, or in leadership, it’s a growing resource to help you flourish with others, encourage resiliency during continued challenging times and ambition for the future.
