Culture in Our City Website – a resource for you!

The Culture in Our City website was developed to meet an identified need for a central online site for the cultural sector in the city.  Somewhere to share information, insights, opportunities and resources.  As importantly, it’s designed so that people can submit contributions directly through the website.

Some sections have been well populated.  There are 55 listings for Resources, including an Anti-Racism Touring Rider, guidelines on everything from safeguarding to sustainability, and support around mental health and wellbeing.  If there is a resource that you use, or that you have created, do share it.

Other sections are ready and waiting for more input.  There are 19 local Networks and Groups listed – but there will be many more.  Do you work or volunteer for a network or group, or benefit from being part of one?  Make sure they are listed on the website so that others can find you and benefit too.

Finding Venues and Spaces for creative activity has long been a challenge in Brighton & Hove, but there are still lots of places for rehearsal, exhibiting and performing, including some unexpected ones.  Half the battle is knowing who and where they are.  We’d love to get a really comprehensive and up to date list on the website but need your help to do it.  If you run a venue or rehearsal space – across any artform – submit the details to [email protected], and please do encourage others that you know or use to do it to.

Culture in Our City is a resource for the cultural sector, and with your help we can make it work better for everyone.
