The Brighton and Hove Culture Alliance

The Brighton & Hove Culture Alliance (BHCA) is a city-wide network that connects people and organisations working across the creative and cultural industries. The network aims to boost and sustain the sector’s health and support its workforce, unlocking opportunities via advocacy and collaboration.

We believe passionately that arts and culture play a central role in making our city a fantastic place to live, work, visit and invest in. Our ongoing vision is for a thriving, diverse and inclusive creative and cultural sector in Brighton & Hove, built on pioneering collaboration and innovative partnerships.

The BHCA evolved out of the action of a group of the city’s creative and cultural workers, who came together to develop the ABCD Plan for Cultural Recovery, in response to the impact of the Covid-19 pandemic on the sector. You can find out more about ABCD and its development into the Culture Alliance by visiting https://cultureinourcity.com/brighton-hove-culture-alliance/

The BHCA Governance Group makes sure the purpose and aims of the Alliance are delivered and is responsible for overseeing strategic priorities, projects and for reviewing progress.
