Little Amal in Brighton

Little Amal Walks in Brighton this week!

At 6:00pm on Thursday 30 March Little Amal will lead a walk of HOPE along Brighton beach in the UK.

JOIN US as we walk alongside Amal from the Golden Spiral on the Lower Promenade to the Palace Pier.

You can be part of Amal’s welcome to Brighton UK by creating a massive Origami boat for Amal, and performing in her welcome event on Brighton Beach.

The Story

As Amal arrives at Brighton Beach she will discover a giant group of your origami paper boats on the sand. As she draws closer they will flock like a murmuration of birds. Together they will lead her along Brighton beach in celebration of the power of community to support one another.

All boat makers are required to attend your choice of one origami sessions AND the community rehearsal on Thursday 30th March at 4:30pm which will be immediately followed by the performance at 6:00pm.

Who can attend?

Workshops are for the whole community including families, individuals and community groups. The workshops are suitable for people aged 6 and above. Children under 16 need to be accompanied by a responsible adult at all times. If you have any accessibility questions please don’t hesitate to contact us.

How can I attend?

Use this Eventbrite to book your session for either Monday or Wednesday beginning at 3:30pm. You will need to pre-book for these workshops as spaces are limited. The art sessions are “drop-in” but please arrive before 4:15pm at the latest.
